SVG Text Alternative Example

I'm wondering whether there is any additional information/more
current reading regarding SVG-based interactive images. Steve
Faulkner's article from August of 2011 is most helpful:

But I thought I'd double check to see if anyone had anything else to
add on the subject.

For what it's worth, I did look at the linked-to test page with IE 10
and JFW 14. The experience was very different than with JFW 14 and Ff
21. It seems to me that JFW and Ff were more accurate, as they were in 2011.
