Looking for suggestions for an EComerce System

Hello:

I am working with a firm to help them set up an Ecommerce system. We
need a system that can handle about 12,000 different items. I want to be
able to have the user select a button to add an item to a shopping cart and
checkout. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
