Hi Lucy, as a screen reader user, I would be happy to access the text off the comic - don't see the need for the transcript.
I am really keen to know how you have accomplished this.

hello:
we want to put up a comic on our site and have found a way to add accessible text to it. we were wondering if we should still add a link to the transcript of what the text says to the page as well. we have been able to make it so that if the comic panels are enlarged they still can be read.
