Lynn -

WAVE (http://wave.webaim.org/) does contrast checking online with the
rendered DOM (as rendered at page load). A near-future update will
allow full DOM manipulation (even after page load) and real-time
evaluation of dynamic elements.

We're also working on an update to the Firefox extension to provide
this functionality, but there's a nasty Firefox bug
(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=792479, if you'd like to
go vote for it) that is making the updates impossible.
