I've been investigating accessible sliders and have a question about how
users with Voiceover and Talkback can successfully use them.
I've been taking as my example the sliders found on the Paciello Group ARIA
Slider Examples page:
http://files.paciellogroup.com/blogmisc/samples/aria/slider/
Whilst I can successfully use these sliders with NVDA/Firefox and JAWS/IE
on my laptop, I am struggling to get them to work with Voiceover on iOS7
and Talkback on Android 4.4.2.
In Voiceover I get a prompt that states something like "Swipe up or down to
change values" but doing so appears to do nothing. On Android there is no
prompt and I haven't worked out which gesture should use.
Please does anyone have some advice on this? Am I missing something, or are
the examples missing something?
Regards
