Hello All:
I've been testing a web-based Japanese placement exam in NVDA and JAWS,
with the Firefox and I.E. browser respectively.
The ISO Japanese characters seem to be there but they are just read as
either "Japanese character" or "Japanese," respectively, in each
screenreader. The Japanese words are tagged with the proper lang attribute.
I'm assuming that the Japanese in the exam is accessible, I just need to
tweak the screenreader settings or load a Japanese capable synthesizer.
I've tried to figure this out through the NVDA & JAWS help and website but
haven't found the answer. Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Howard
