One technique that I have heard about involves leaving the link visible, but
using an extremely small font, making it virtually invisible. However, some
people advocate leaving such links visible so that visual keyboarders can
take advantage of them. Others allow the link to be hidden (or made
extremely small), except when they receive tab focus, so that the keyboarder
can use the link, without the visual mouse user needing to see it.
