Screen readers and data tables created from embedded charts in PowerPoint

Happy Friday everyone.

I have a question about data tables that can be added to embedded charts or
graphs in a PowerPoint presentation.

I cannot figure out how to have a screen reader read the data table, all I
hear is the chart information and do not know what keystrokes to use to
access the table that is contained within the chart grouping (although
grouping is not necessarily accurate since there is no option to ungroup
that I can see.

When I convert the slide to PDF the table is exported as a table, but I
cannot figure out how to access it on the PPT slide itself. Is this
possible?
