Hello there,
after reading Joe Clark's latest article[1] asking for web designers to
make their sites more flexible and customisable, I thought of a tool to
do that. I wanted to enable users to set the navigation where they need
it and give the designer the chance to give that functionality without
resorting to back end coding.
Hence, I did the following:
http://www.icant.co.uk/ltlg/
It is a PHP based solution that enables you as the designer to offer
various Style Sheets, and enable the user to change colours, layout and
font sizes. The data entered will be stored in a cookie and you do NOT
need any PHP knowledge.
I'd be grateful for feedback and info what should be implemented or what
is hard to grasp, or what doesn't really make sense (hopefully not the
latter).
Another great thing would be designers downloading and playing with the
tool to see what can be done with it.
cheers
Chris
