Hello,
In the following question LibGuides is the content editor being used (in case any of you use it).
Here is the site I am asking about and the question I am asking is illustrated under the heading "Archival (back issues and ceased publications):"
https://subjectguides.uwaterloo.ca/news/Canada
Under the heading is an unordered list (UL) of like items but that list is composed of 2 different asset types: links and databases. Every time a different asset type is used, a new UL is created.
So, for the content I am talking about, it is:
For the HTML:
Heading
UL with 1 link asset
UL with 5 database assets
UL with 1 link asset
UL with2 database assets
Viewing the site:
Heading
Like items in a bulleted list
The question: WAVE flags each of those ULs. It seems a screen reader will announce each of those UL notifications and that can't be good. Is it bad form to have all those UL notifications when by content it is really 1 unordered list? Will a screen reader announce all those notifications?
I appreciate any assistance you may provide,
Kathy
