Hey folks, sorry if this message is off-topic or barely topical.
A few organizations I work with use when2meet.com to agree on meeting
times. This service is not very screen reader accessible, but as far as
i can tell, someone picks a date range for a meeting, everyone indicates
their availability via some sort of drag-and-drop mechanism on a
calendar showing the date range, and the service calculates the
intersection and suggests meeting times.
Does anyone know of an accessible service that does something similar? I
know of things like Doodle, but the challenge with those is that the
event planner has to specify intervals first. So for instance, if you
have a week where folks can meet, the event planner has to divide that
week into hour-long chunks and then everyone has to check each one that
applies. Hoping for something similar to when2meet.
Failing that, does anyone have good recommendations for a
non-framework-specific accessible JavaScript calendar plugin with
support for events? I hate the idea of having to build an equivalent for
X that is essentially identical save for screen reader support and being
otherwise committed to accessibility, but event scheduling is important
enough that we need something, otherwise multiple organizations are
going to have to run a separate scheduling process for me and that's
just dumb. :/ Hoping I can either suggest or make an alternative.
Thanks.
