Table cells with subheadings

Good morning.,
I have been working with my colleagues to avoid using tables to format text for ages. Yet, when I run into something like this, which technically validates, I am lacking the technical vocabulary to explain why it would be better to use CSS:

Is it possible for screen readers to understand multiple sub-headings inside a single cell?
