Anyone who claims that books should all be in large print does not
understand the medium of print. Large print is an auxiliary method of
providing accessibility; I don't see any call whatsoever for all books to
have it. (By contrast, electronic media can carry accessibility within
themselves.)
The Rush and Slatin book is, in typographic terms, a joke.
If a book's fonts are too small for you, use a magnifier.
