With the recent releases of both Mac and Windows versions of MovieCaptioner, Synchrimedia is announcing support for the OHMS format for captions. The Oral History Metadata Synchronizer (OHMS) is a powerful web-based application that allows oral historians to organize and put metadata into oral history interviews. This makes interviews significantly more accessible for researchers or other interested people. MovieCaptioner can output a file with the user's choice of 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 minute intervals that can be imported directly into the OHMS system, a great time saver if you use this format.
