I don't see 3.2.1 or 3.2.2 applying. The appearance of content in response
to focus or input does not constitute "change of context", focus does not
move, new page doesn't load, the new content is discoverable, or decorative.
I like the idea of the escape key clearing the input.
This is super interesting, there's a lot of accessibility usability
considerations here, but I'd call it a best practice rather than an
outright fail of a WCAG success criterion.
