Hi Everyone,
I've been trying to put some thoughts together on Children and assistive
technology in learning products. Today, learning is interactive We have a
lot of flash based and other interactive learning aids. What needs to be
provided to cater to special needs? There are two distinct areas that I am
thinking of are:
1. Disability and Developing Technology
a. How do we try to cater to all the disabilities in one flash game? I
understand that often the interaction can be changed that makes it easier
for someone. But is this viable for the companies selling learning.
b. Let's assume that a lot of games are Flash based, do we need to
provide all the different support right from keyboard, mouse, voice?
2. Assistive Technology
a. At what age would a child start using assistive technology for
example a screen reader or learning disability tools?
Any ideas would be nice. Thanks in advance.
