Hi,
I know how to add alt text to an image in an Outlook email, but is there a
way to designate an image as decorative? In HTML, I would give it alt="". I
think if I leave the alt text field empty in the email, JAWS still tries to
say the file name of the image. Is there something I can do to the image to
ensure that JAWS ignores it?
Thanks,

I don't believe that it is possible to add the "null ALT" (i.e., ALT="") to
any image in any of the MS Office Suite applications, Outlook included.
You'll have to find out from one of the JAWS or NVDA users what they
actually encounter when an image has no alternative description; I'd be
curious to know.
As you know, the MS Office for Mac does not work with VoiceOver (VO) on Mac
OSX and the iWork suite does not have the ability to add ALT descriptions. I
can't remember if VO reads the ALT descriptions in LibreOffice.

Does anyone know about adding alt-text to images that are embedded in an auto-signature in Outlook 2010?
