It's too late for me for this year, but I'm trying to figure out the "business case" for attending CSUN next year. If any of you have put together cost estimates and justifications for attending CSUN that you can share, I'd love to see them.
Thank you in advance,
sb

Sarah, I have to provide leadership a detailed business case each year to send people to CSUN. I'd be happy to share. Please contact me directly at = EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED = or = EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED = if you would like me to send you a copy.

I can't provide numbers, but I can say unequivocally that CSUN is one
of the best investments we make each year in terms of dissemination of
WebAIM information, networking with others in the field, and
professional development. Once you attend, you'll find yourself going
back each year. John Foliot recently wrote a nice guide for CSUN
newbies that highlights what to expect -

It is not inexpensive, for sure (4 nights at the conference hotel will
cost us over $1000 per staff member), and the conference registration
itself is higher than many (and there's only a slight discount for
presenters), but it is usually well worth it for us.

We present CSUN costs as training costs (cost per educational hour) and compare with other accessibility conferences and available training. Even with travel, hotel and per diem included, CSUN comes out as the best educational value.

Training! Great tip, Julie. We have spending requirements for training...

Though the following post is, perhaps, primarily geared toward
consumer-attendees, I thought some on this list might find helpful
cost-savings in it. There may be strategies that nonprofit
organizations could adapt. The informations typically updated each year:
