> The Team
> The Corporate Compliance Accessibility Team partners with Cisco Engineering design teams at all phases of the new product design cycle to ensure that accessibility for people with disabilities is included as part of the process. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with customers as the accessibility team provides direct customer support for accessibility issues with our products and services.

> Role & Responsibilities
> In this highly demanding role as an Accessibility Software Testing Engineer you will:
> ● Perform accessibility testing including: code static analysis, manual reviews, keyboard navigation, color sampling, and screen reader testing
> ● Use a combination of common accessibility testing tools such as: SOAtest, Colour Contrast Analyser, OS accessibility features, Browsers, and JAWS screen reader
> ● Demonstrate knowledge of W3C WCAG 2.0 requirements and accessibility-related User Interface best practices for software applications
> ● Have proven skills to identify accessibility issues in developed products as well as perform visual accessibility design reviews
> ● Collaborate with Cisco Engineering product development teams
>
> Minimum Qualifications
> ● BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
> ● Exhibit strong oral and written communications skills
> ● Demonstrate good project management abilities and have an aptitude for problem solving
> ● Be a team player able to work and collaborate effectively with others
> ● Be highly proficient in PC based tools and software
>
> Desired Skills
> ● Software development experience, preferably in the field of software user interface design for usability and accessibility
> ● Knowledge of and experience with software quality assurance and development process
> ● Knowledge of accessibility design standards is a plus, such as: W3C WCAG 2.0, WAI-ARIA, Mobile Accessibility (iOS, Android), PC/desktop Accessibility (Windows/Mac)
> ● Experience in web browser UI development to accessibility standards
> ● Experience in accessible cross-browser/cross-platform web development using HTML/XHTML/DHTML, JavaScript, Open Source AJAX libraries (e.g. Dojo, Jquery UI), and CSS
> ● Familiarity with US accessibility laws & regulations including CVAA, Section 255/508, and the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT)
