Greetings:


I'll make a few points -- both about Zurb's Foundation, as well as
frameworks generally.


For the record, here are a couple of posts from the Zurb Foundation that
I believe touch on accessibility. As with all these things, only
testing (and looking at bug-filing) can show whether claims are true and
progress has been (and/or continues to be) made:

When considering frameworks, generally, in my experience, it's best to
research accessibility, as related to each one. Some are *starting* to
have some accessibility built-in and/or tools to help with checking. Two
that come to mind are React and Ember (but they're not the only ones, I
expect).


As for Bootstrap, as some may recall (including Patrick), the effort to
get accessibility integrated was not particularly speedy or easy (and
I'm sure it can't be finished, still). This is what happens when it's
not built in from the start, as we all know.


I have seen a few frameworks (but more often pattern libraries) that are
having components in them that are accessible, but the frameworks I have
seen are not in the mainstream; they tend to be individual projects that
*focus* on accessibility. Let's see some integration for the win. :)


So, onward we all go -- those who file bugs can/should, while others of
us do what we do best -- share info/raise awareness. It takes a village
to fix these frameworks, based on my many years of observing and helping
as my personal time and resources permit. Thank you to all who have made
contributions and continue to do so.


I'm not convinced that what we've been doing is going to scale (with
respect to frameworks), in the long run, but for now, we each do what we
can.
