Hello All,
How important it is to disable non-relevant (back/future) dates? As this
might impact any type of users having low cognition level. Moreover,
cognition level is yet to get standardised with WCAG.
Looking forward on your thoughts..
Thanks & regards,

I typically discourage disabling form controls, let the users make the
mistakes and use informative error messages to assist them in correcting
those mistakes.
I think for disabled dates it's a bit different.
Letting users navigate to unavailable dates can require a lot of extra
effort (e.g. with keyboard)
I think having text on the page that clearly states the available date
range + disabling dates outside of that range may be the most accessible
implementation.
Of course that's just my opinion and I don't have any data to back it up. ;)

Would disabling controls make more sense if the default approach to
disabling didn't make them hard to see and take them out of the focus order
of the page? If form controls aren't readily discoverable, it is hard for
users with a range of disabilities to gain insights from the disabled
controls included on the page.
As an alternative to disabling controls as the indicator of what's out of
range in terms of dates, I like the practice of providing instructions to
guide users in making valid selections in the first place. Giving users
the knowledge of how to make valid selections from the outset of
interaction is always a better approach, in my opinion, than teaching users
what to do by telling them what they did wrong via error messages.
