I am a graduate student taking a class in Integrating Technology into the
Classroom Curriculum and am interested in finding out if there are any
sources, "tools" or websites that give an introduction to website design and
recommended accessible options that should be included in web good design.
Are there any recommended web sites that would be good examples to view??

You may want to check out the Web Design Reference site. It is a huge
mega-reference (over 5,000 links) of information and articles about web
design and development. It has a section on Accessibility, Sites &
Blogs, Books, Tools as well as related topics (CSS, Web Standards,
Usability and many more).
The Web Design Reference URL is:
http://www.d.umn.edu/goto/webdesign/
You might also find the Web Design Update Newsletter helpful. The URL
is:
http://www.d.umn.edu/goto/webdevlist
The newsletter is a plain text email digest that typically goes out
once a week as an adjunct to the site.
