Hi All,
Happy Monday! I need some expert comment on the filters that we have. And the way the filter is working is on selecting one of the option. The other filter options fades away and it's an AJAX page load.

So what are you think
It should work or look like? Should it be a radio button , check box or button or some other element.

Looking forward for your feedback!

Regards,
Radhika

Hello,

Well, just from a UX perspective I question the removal of the other
choices. Can the user not change his mind and change filters?

Radio vs checkbox depends on what the user needs to do. Currently, it
sounds like the user cannot select more than one thing at a time, so
radio makes most sense to me.

The user should have the ability to review the choices and change the
selection if needed / on reviewing results. So choices fading away
upon selection is not good.
Also if only one needs to be selected, radio choice is fine.

Users can remove the filter to see all the options. Remove filters option
is available above the filters.
Also, do you think a message should be conveyed/notified to users when the
filter is selected? And what message?

I know that it is not good to fade away the choices. But it is a technical
challenge , that when one selection is made , the other options are not
available.
So those filters are not shown. But what element we can have here and what
kind of messaging we have for screen reader users?
