Last summer I brought up the topic of Mailman web app accessibility
[1]. In that thread Jared Smith said, "If enough people ask for it, I
believe they [Mailman developers] will make the relatively minor
changes needed to improve accessibility" [2]. Jared was right!

Ethan Fremen is an intern developer working on Mailman this summer [1].
He is very eager, interested in accessibility and standards, and would
like to get feedback on the interface [3] [5]. We are beginning to have
some good discussions [4], [5], [6], [7], [8].

Jared has previously mentioned that he worked on making Mailman
accessible. He has gone into the python code and individually improved
the WebAIM local copy of the app. It would be great if he or others
would share their perils of wisdom.

If anyone has suggestions to offer that would enhance the accessibility
of the Mailman web app please send your comments to it's developers
list.

Thank you very much,
