Hello,

Just curious whether any folks here are either presenting at or planning
to attend the CSUN Technology and Persons with Disabilities conference
http://www.csunconference.org this March?

Most of the WebAIM team will be there. We're providing a
pre-conference workshop in conjunction with The Paciello Group on
Accessibility of Rich Internet Applications. This full-day workshop
should be a great opportunity to learn ARIA and other advanced
accessibility techniques from a group of folks that know the topic as
well as anyone. And it should be fun!

We also have five or six general sessions that we'll be presenting. We
also have plans to sponsor another CSUN Tweetup. More details coming
soon. I look forward to meeting you and others there. For those that
aren't familiar with the CSUN conference, it is a great conference
with a strong focus on technology and disability - and there's always
many presentations on web accessibility, not to mention the
opportunity to network with many others in this field. It will be held
in San Diego this year (yippee!).

It is quite possible that I will be both presenting and attending of course.

Jennison,

Happy to say that I will actually be doing both: Sean Keegan and I will be
presenting on our Captioning Workflow system/tool (not sure of actual date
at this writing, but it's confirmed). Also looking forward to the
TPG/WebAIM tweetup, and loads of networking. You going to be there?

I too look forward to the tweetup and plenty of other opportunities to
meet with folks.

We at the Adaptech Research Network will present twice at CSUN. One
presentation will focus on sharing preliminary findings on our
cross-disability social media use and accessibility study that has
involved over 700 college students with disabilities. The other will
introduce a scale we developed that can be used to assess how well the
technology accessibility needs of college students with disabilities are
being met on and off-campus and in e-learning contexts.
