The Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media, Web & Technology
Conference (http://www.colorado.edu/ATconference) will be held
November 15-19, 2010 in Westminster, Colorado (very near Denver). If
you are not familiar with it, AHG is a fantastic conference with a
strong focus on web and media accessibility. WebAIM will be presenting
several workshops and sessions at this year's conference. You can
attend the pre-conference workshops and the conference for only $675.

Accessing Higher Ground has also announce a 2nd round of proposals. In
particular they are looking for sessions on the following novice-level
topics:
- Captioning for beginners
- Servicing Wounded Warriors (i.e. Veterans) – a beginners session on
resources, strategies & services for this growing population
- The New World of Textbooks: eBooks, Book Rental, the Kindle: a
review of the new technologies, current issues & concerns
- AT for Dummies – a beginners guide on terminology and issues for
those new to technology
- Screenreaders & other Technologies for novices – hands on
- Resources, strategies for the non-technical Disability Services office

Sessions on other topics directed at a higher level of expertise are
also welcome. To submit a proposal, download and return the fillable
pdf form by May 31. The form can be found at:
