Recently I installed the java plug-in version SE6 from java.com

But couldn't find latest version of access bridge download from websites of Java/ Sun/ Oracle. Only documentation was available there.

My sister did a Google search and found Access bridge 1_0_2 from a website called ZXXL.com. she downloaded it but during installation, a message said "cannot detect java virtual machine".

Today I did a online scan with MC Afee and it said the website ZXXl is a 'significantly risky site'. So I would like to know where to get the latest version of the access bridge from an 'safe' source.

This is my first time downloading JRE and JAV to use. Is it normal not to have any java file in the control panel 'add-remove programs'?

I am using windows XP and jaws10.

I apologize for off topic request but other forums were not able to provide the info.

Thank you

Tania

Hi Tania,

The Java Access Bridge latest version is 2.0.1.
The overview info page is:
<http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/accessibility/accessbridge/index.jsp>;

Download page (with instructions, license agreement checkbox, links
to other necessary Java Runtime files) is at:
<https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=accessbridge-2.0.1-oth-JPR@CDS-CDS_Developer>

Hope this helps,
Patrick
