Andrew

Glad to see this new addition to accessible eBooks.
Few initial questions (just from glancing at the web page).
By "accessible with Voiceover" do you mean just on the Mac, or would
this also work on Voiceover on iDevices?
There is no obvious link on the wb page to "getting started with 1.8
and Jaws" or similar. There are a few links I have not investigated,
but a link with an obvious label of this nature, either "getting
started" or "screen reader FAQ" would be very helpful place to start.
Much more feedback to follow, once I have sat down and tested but
congratulations on a great step forward.

It is just a desktop application, so just on the Mac.

When you download the app there is a getting started book in the library of the app.

I look forward to your feedback!

Hello,

Thanks for making us aware of this drawing. I hope we can get more
information about it anyway. I once purchased an ebook from Adobe
Digital Editions and found it to be inaccessible over a year ago. It
would be nifty to be able to read some of the books from my library
that aren't vailable as Digital Overdrive Audio Books.

I was also wondering: the link you pointed us to where we fill out the
form, all of that information is contained in a list of 10 items, with
the first five items in the list being paragraphs. Why is the page
coded this way?

Mary,
You can read books from OverDrive that are available from your library, so long as they are the EPUB versions of the books, using Digital Editions 1.8. The book that you purchased last year (whether from Google books or Barnes and Noble or wherever you bought it, can still be read in Digital Editions 1.8 today.

To your question about coding the form, the answer is because someone made a bad decision. I'm working on that one...

Thanks,
AWK
