Hi Folks,
It may be Repeated Topic, your suggestions reduces Significant
accessible design costs.
As you know Color contrast is much more important if your content is
accessible to every one!
i know there are several tools that analyze color contrast based on WCAG 2.0
Color contrast algorithem at the development stage.
Namely, CCA, Juicy studio color contrast analyser, and so on!. they are
awesome, but are there any tools or addons or plugins to test color contrast
at the design stage? any tools/addons for adobe fireworks and adobe photo
shop?
if there any, are they accessible to Screen Readers? Also throw some
light on test procedures to verify color contrast at the design stage!

And any tools that test RGB values specifically for testing color contrast for documents rather than web?

I've developed this tool for designers to use when initially selecting
a color palette. It will show which color combinations meet WCAG 2
Level AA and AAA conformance.

Here is the blog post about it

And here is a custom version I made just for the NC State University
color palette

Hi,
perhaps you could check my accessibility color wheel, which is an online
tool which helps
choosing an accessible color pair (for instance) for text and background
of a document.
It controls the contrast between two colours on the fly and it uses the
WCAG algorithms.
The address is
http://gmazzocato.altervista.org/colorwheel/wheel.php
I hope it helps
Bye,
Giacomo

Thanks Giacomo and Greg Kraus for suggesting me these tools.
these are nice, but are online services!
any one has suggestions on Fireworks or Photo shop plugins, for analyzing
color contrast? that would be more appreciated.
