Hi -
We are looking at purchasing ViewPlus's IVEO Hands-On Learning system for
visually impaired students who need to interact with graphics. Does anyone
use this system? Does anyone have another solution for tactile graphics?
http://www.viewplus.com/products/packages/inclusive-learning/
Thanks so much for any help you can provide!
Best,
Karen

Take a look at touch graphics there ttt is easier to create for. They also are working on different ways to make tactile graphics for the live scribe pen. Not sure of the web site but they make the ttt the talking tactile tablet witch should come up on Google.

Karen,
What type of graphics are we talking about? Or how complex are they?
While at the UW, I used a Tiger + Corel Draw to make graphics from
basic shapes to chaos theory graphs. We developed the Tactile Graphics
Project <http://tactilegraphics.cs.washington.edu/>; to assist myself
and another to make graphics for our blind students. I would talk to
Dan rather than Richard about how to best make things work for your
school. Mention me and you should be good to go.

Hi - Thanks to Lucy and Jim for their responses. I looked up the TTT model
you mentioned Lucy. Jim, what do you use at your school? I am wanting to
know what other schools use for producing and using tactile graphics. One
thing I like about the ViewPlus model is that it is a comprehensive package
for creating and using tactile graphics.
What are you all doing to make graphics accessible to blind and low-vision
students?
Thanks!
Karen
