Hello,

A series of day-long digital accessibility events targeted at designers,
developers, usability professionals, those working in the industry, users
with disabilities and all others interested in the subject matter return
this fall. For now, dates have been announced for: Boston (September 15),
London UK (September 19), New York City (September 22), Washington D.C.
(October 13), Los Angeles (October 20), Toronto (November 17), and
Montreal (November 23). Montreal's event has a nominal fee, all other
events are free. Robert Pearson has compiled a list of these, including
background on the events here
http://g3ict.org/resource_center/newsletter/news/p/newsletterId_/id_376

Registration is now open for the Boston Accessibility Conference on
September 15 http://www.a11ybos.org and for
Accessibility Camp DC on October 13 http://accesscampdc12.eventbrite.com.

Please help us spread word about these events.

Jennison

Thank you, Jennison, for your marketing and evangelism!

I am one of the co-organizers of the Boston event, and I would like to urge you to attend. In past years, we have handled the Boston Accessibility Conference as an "un-conference," like Bar Camp events, where attendees volunteer to speak and the schedule is determined on the day of the event. Some people found this concept unsettling, so this year we are scheduling some speaking/presenting slots in advance. If you would like to take advantage of this, see our "Call for Speakers" page at http://a11ybos.org/call_for_speakers

Hope to see you in September!

Hi Sarah,

I get:
Warning: require_once(./includes/bootstrap.inc) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/a11ybos1/public_html/index.php on line 14

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required './includes/bootstrap.inc' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/a11ybos1/public_html/index.php on line 14

Shawn,

You got to the page just as I was updating the Drupal installation. You will
not receive the error. Please try again.

Regards,

Pratik

Let me also make sure that folks are aware of the "Developing with
Accessibility" event on September 6 - 7 (Thursday - Friday) at the
Federal Communications Commission in DC. It is a free event with
developer trainings on creating accessible mobile apps, web sites,
webinars, and ebooks. There will also be dedicated rooms for work on
coding projects with others. a web site, email list, and IRC channel
exist for collaboration among developers before, during, and after the
event.

More information is at

http://fcc.us/devacc

As part of the organizing team behind the event, I can also help to
answer questions about it.
