Someone on our campus wants to know whether it's possible to have JAWS 13 and 14 installed on the same machine simultaneously. Apparently one of their products has a feature that requires 14, so they want to install that for a period, and then uninstall it afterward.

Assuming that all licensing issues are addressed, is there a technical issue here?

Yes, you can have as many as you have licenses for.

We have done this and it works ok. I do not recommend it for testing purposes because there are some shared components and it is possible that an older version of JAWS will get to use a newer version of them than it would normally do, which could render the results invalid. However, that is not a concern for someone who just wants to use JAWS.

Should work fine.
- Make sure only one of the Jaws versions starts up automatically.
- Assign a keyboard shortcut key (alt-control-)for the different
versions to enable user (if user is blind) to control which Jaws
version he wants to start up (you can do this under the context menu
for the jaws.exe file for each version).
I have no problem running Jaws 12, 13, and 14 together on a Windows 7
64-bit machine, have not tested on Win 8 (but keep in mind versions
prior to 14 probably have huge issues with Windows 8).
