Subject: Web Accessibility Checker

Colleagues,

One of our IT directors has asked me about the web accessibility checker for Visual Studio. Has anybody put this through its paces, or is anybody supporting it now?

I'm not a Visual Studio user, so if anyone has any insights on this, I am all ears.

Thanks, Todd

Todd,

I used it in the past with VS .Net 2010. Back then it was pretty good. Not as good as the WAVE toolbar, but good enough to catch some HTML markup.

Of course, 2010 was back in 2008, so I don't know how good it is now. I would give it a test. Typically, it loads anything it finds in the Error Window as warnings to allow you to continue your build . It warns you but does not stop you from compiling your code and running your project.
