hi everyone: wondering if i can have some more-educated
thought/opinions than mine on the technologies folks use to access the
web. I mainly know of two (but others?). Jaws and "Chrome in reader
mode". any idea which is best for evaluating the accessibility of
sites. I would guess Jaws but really don't know.
many thanks and thanks for still having this list here alive and well!
i'm afraid this may be very common knowledge and i'm displaying my gross
ignorance is asking this question, but, truth be known, i don't do much
web development anymore, the magic left that enterprise a few years ago.
so patience with my ignorance, please!

We use NVDA as well for all Windows testing. We use VoiceOver for Apple devices (both desktop and mobile).

The beauty of NVDA and VoiceOver is that they are full-featured, robust, and (best of all) free.
