Does anybody have an example of such a webpage, either a real page or
something coded as a demo.
I want to record a video that explains when 1.4.4 fails, but I need to
find a page to do it with.
I would code it myself, only CSS and zooming is not my strongest suit,
and it is always more powerful to record a video with a real webpage
(the video is for an internal test team so no public shaming
involved).
Cheers

Here ya go https://jsfiddle.net/mdhkyugt/1/ (a wrapper set to 100% with
overflow:hidden, and content inside that set to an explicit width - as
user zooms, the width of the content grows but no scrollbar appears due
to the overflow suppression).

If you'd like some examples in the wild, Jonathan Avila sent me some when
we were discussing the possible new zoom success criteria:
- https://css-tricks.com/examples/ScrollingSidebar/
-
https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=LEwGcwiRf9gC&pg=PA162&lpg=PA162&dq=example+where+zoom+in+gets+smaller&source=bl&ots=oQIz7vNoa9&sig=OlBTW3BV4Nq9fgaaa80EmFNPV04&hl=en&sa=X&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=example%20where%20zoom%20in%20gets%20smaller&fúlse

I think those have issues with both 1.4.4 and the new zoom criteria.

Thanks!
Great, I wil take alook at those (or rather, have a sighted co-worker do that).
Ideally, we'd find a page where resizing make the page text disappear
behind an image.

Not sure if it's quite what you're looking for but product pages on the
Dyson UK website go all horrible when you try to do a text only resize. See
http://www.dyson.co.uk/shop/vacuum-cleaners.aspx

Compare that with the rather sweet way that the Lego shop handles
resizing:

Thanks Alistair, also a note to the list that screen resolution plays a factor when the issues for resize may come into effect. My recommendation would be to set your resolution at no more than 1280 wide although some people who need zoom may be using less such as me. Also of note is that resize of page contents may be triggered by different factors including changing the width of the viewport (e.g. window) but I'd recommend zoom as it changes the scale factor and width of window which I personally believe provides a more comprehensive experience to what people who use zoom will experience.
