Subject: Aural CSS and default user agent behavior
No previous message | No next message

Good day,

I realize aural CSS creation is mostly an intellectual exercise at present,
yet I'm wondering how it meshes with default user agent behaviors.

For instance, on the Mozilla project I found an old discussion proposing
the following:

@media aural {
html applet:before { content: "Java Applet: " }
}

I've revised it to:
@media aural {
html:lang(en) applet:before { content: "Java Applet: " }
}

Now, if a user agent's default will be to announce "Applet" before every
<applet>, will my proposed style result in the user's hearing,
"Applet. Java Applet." ?

Thank you in advance,
