We have been tasked with making a <canvas>-based application web accessible. We are aware of the difficulty of this, seeing as everything takes place within the canvas and not being keyboard/screen reader accessible. The application includes interaction as well as some games and puzzles, so smaller applications within the larger one. We have talked about creating a temporary alternate version of this which is keyboard accessible, but we are aware this may not be the best approach.

Is there any documentation online that could possibly give some guidance on this? I have not come up with much in my searches. We are aware that at some point we may need to redesign the whole thing to be truly accessible, but is there anything that can possibly be done now that may help us meet accessibility requirements as it currently exists?

Thanks for your time.
