Hello,

Does anyone have any useful recommendations for services that can create auto-generated captions and/or transcripts for modern Greek or other non-English languages? Or services you can recommend for a specific language, such as modern Greek, or other languages?

I have also been directed to this service, sonix.ai, to create auto-generated transcripts for modern Greek. Does anybody have experience or knowledge of their quality of work?

Thanks for any and all suggestions and help!
Derek

Hi Derek,

Will this be for documents? Webpages? Powerpoint slides? Or all of the
above?

Cheers

Thanks!

Hi Derek,

Sorry, one more question...So the captions are above the video, or for the
video in their own track?

Cheers

Google translate has the ability to translate closed captions into several
languages. I have never personally used the service, but I have heard about
it.

Hello,

These would be captions for youtube videos, and I think there convention is at the bottom of the screen. But what I am looking for is just some recommendations for a company that can do reliable auto-generated captions (i.e. less expensive) of Greek, or other non-English content, which we would then review. So the better the quality of the auto-generated caption, the less difficult our work will be, and the faster we can get the captions up. Greek is the language we are working on now, but I am anticipating other non-English languages in the future.

I hope that clarifies but I am happy to answer questions.

Thanks again!
Derek

Hi Derek,

Ah okay...Look at this company. I have used them for captions made from
text transcripts before, and they were excellent. I used their stuff in an
HTML 5 player, not YouTube. They do work in many languages, not sure about
Greek though! Worth a check:
