Is anyone aware of an accessible data analysis and reporting tool that
can interface with a sql server and/or Informix database and output
accessible reports? We are currently exporting the data to an access
database then generating reports in MS Excel. This solution works
reasonably well for simple reports where the data is organized such that
each data cell is only associated with a single row and column header.
However, complex reports that are output as complex data tables are very
difficult for screen reader users to work with and understand when in
Excel format.
Ideally we would like to have a system that would present the data in
complex html tables with headers defined for data cells using the id
attribute for the header cells and the header attribute on the data
cells, however we have been unable to find a commercially available
reporting system that renders this type of output.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
