Hi Randi,

I'm not exactly certain, but my guess is that the forms at ESPN use
proper HTML submit buttons with their types set to "image", while the
other forms you have visited are using link elements that submit the
form with Javascript.

If that's so, then ESPN are the ones who -- at least from a technical
perspective -- are doing it right.

(Just out of curiosity, I set up a test page at
http://outstandingelephant.com/playground/image_buttons that renders
image buttons in three different ways. I'm guessing that the second
technique, using the anchor/link element, is the one you are used to.)
