Hi Pooja,

for a DeafBlind person who has no vision and cannot hear speech, these
options would not work at all. For these people they would need both
keyboard and a braille display device to access the information. For those
same people who cannot read braille, then they are out of luck as far as
assistive technology is concern.

With Warm Regards,
Randy Pope

Subject: [WebAIM] Usage of iPad: screen touch or keyboard

Hello,

I am looking for information on the input usage preference of visually
impaired for iPad - do they use screen touch as input or they prefer
keyboard with voiceover? The reason why I ask this is: when I use touch as
input I can read all the content under my finger irrespective if it's
accessible or not but the same behavior doesn't exist when I use voiceover
with a keyboard. Thus wanted to know mostly what is preferred by visually
impaired users: touch or keyboard as input device?
