In IE, yes. In other browsers, not as far as I can tell. I
thought it might be better in the HTML5 version of youtube but
no, doesn't seem to be, at least not in Firefox.
Though apparently the player isn't keyboard trapping anymore in
any broswer, so that's a net win.
