Guidance for Online Speech Course

Hello,

I work for an online University and we are looking at implementing an online speech course where students would be posting videos in response to different assignments. My understanding is that there will be videos posted by students on a weekly basis. There would be an additional component of reviewing other student's video posts and responding in a discussion forum on the videos.

I was wondering as far as compliance and adhering to 508 and ADA regulations and from a web accessibility standpoint what we should take into consideration? We require closed captioning for all videos that are resources or posted by our instructors; but I am a little unsure what the standard would need to be in the instance that the content will be student generated. Then there is the element of the peer response that adds additional complications to the course.

Thanks!
