For what definition of accessible? MOOs, MUDs and MUSHes often have a
text-only version (essentially telnet) with an optional GUI. Unfortunately
they aren't always user-friendly.

There are LOTS of others out there, but this perhaps the one that has
received the most (edu) media attention. It's the baby of Cynthia Haynes
and Jan Holmevik. Source code is available here:
