Good morning Listers,
I had been under the impression we could stop using skip links, but I gather for keyboard only users they are still necessary. Is this correct?

Landmarks are only of use to users of AT like screenreaders.
Keyboard-only users without AT cannot take advantage of them (unless they employ some form of additional extension/plugin such as http://blog.paciellogroup.com/2013/07/enabling-landmark-based-keyboard-navigation-in-firefox/).
