You should be able to turn on the touch cursor with JAWS by pressing shift+numad plus and then use left and right arrow keys. This works in many places even if you don't have a touch screen. Separately Insert+B will announce everything in a software dialog. This should work with Windows 7-10. Here are my couple of doubts related to the screen reader shortcuts,

1. In JAWS, to pull the list of desired elements like images, buttons etc we will use Ctrl+Insert+ element's quick key. Curious to know, is any similar shortcut like that in NVDA.
