JAWS will require a copy on the server side and another copy on the user's workstation. With special configuration, those two will work together to provide access to all of the underlying information that screen readers need.

I can't speak to other assistive technologies, though.

Subject: [WebAIM] Instaling a screen reader for a citrix user

Dear all,

Im facing the challenge of preparing an accessible work station for a Citrix (server based) user. Would you have any suggestions how we could turn the program she has to work with accessible for her although it is located on some far server?

Thanks,
