I have not used it in a long time, but if you use the Hyper-V connect screen, you may not get sound. Typically, I use Remote Desktop Session to connect to even my VMware machines. That way JAWS gets authorized using my Remote Access License.
I tend to rely on RDP heavily as I can obtain more control over my VM with it. I know it requires some firewall tweaking and understanding how to setup the network adapter, but I have plenty of knowledge to setup an array of VMs on one machine using NAT.
