Dear All
I would like to second the request for accessibility training in the UK in an attempt to highlight a gap in the market which some of the technically-advanced members of the list might be interested to pick up on. I should think that there are many other people like myself who have a communications background rather than a computing background but have still been asked to take on web management responsibilities.

I lurk on this list and one or two others and google about for tutorials and background reading but this only takes a novice so far down the road to a full understanding of and confidence to implement accessibility.

Are list members are aware of any face-to-face hands-on training for web accessibility, particularly for the novice level, available in the UK?

Thanks.

Subject: Web Accessibility seminars

Hi,

I am looking for a seminar or short course on web accessibility in the
South West of England. The only ones I can find are the ones held by the
RNIB this month and next and those are all fully booked and they say they
have no plans for any more. Does anyone know of anything that may be on in
the region? I am the nominal expert within our company, and as such would
dearly love to make sure I know what I'm talking about by having some
expert practical advice and confirmation of the things I think I have
learned so far.

Thanks

Victoria
