Breadcrumbs and use of color (links)

Do breadcrumbs fall under use of color in regards to links when the links
are only distinguished by color alone and have a contrast ratio of less
than 3:1 compared to the non-link (current page) or are breadcrumbs' links
distinguishable because they are not the last item?
